Summer Series: Terence Hobdy @ The (Ghost) Note

  • The (Ghost) Nnote 120 West Oak Street Denton, TX, 76201 United States (map)

Next in our Summer Series: The Ghost Note presents our first showcase upstairs, featuring the first public performance of local artist/drummer Professor Terence Hobdy's original music.

"My stuff is like a gumbo little bit of jazz, little bit of church, little bit of soul, and little bit of hip to make the perfect roux." - Hobdy

Graduating with a bachelor from the University of Houston and a Master in jazz studies from the University of North Texas, Hobdy has studied with acclaimed educators Sebastian "Big Bash" Whittikar and Ed Soph.

Hobdy has performed with Diane Schurr, Wayne Bergeron, Vincent Herring, Joe McBride, and Quamon Fowler, recently returning from a tour with Liz Vice. He presently teaches applied drumset at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
