Pat will cover a wide range of topics exploring his approach to developing a deep sense of groove, uncanny technique, and ability to cover a myriad of musical situations. Performance and demonstration will be followed by an open Q&A.

The legendary Mike Clark is coming back to the shop for private lessons Saturday & Sunday August 22nd & 23rd plus a Clinic w/special guests Jeff Eckles/Bass & Drew Zaremba/Sax on Sunday August 23rd 5-7pm. Mr. Clark is considered the innovative pioneer of the “Linear Funk” style, a post bop jazz master, and a fantastic person; we couldn’t be more thrilled and honored to have him again.

Mr. Clark has performed with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Tony Bennett, Christian McBride, Wallace Roney, Bobby Hutcherson, Joe Henderson, Woody Shaw, Donald Harrison, Vince Guaraldi, Chet Baker, Larry Coryell, Eddie Henderson, Jeff Berlin, Bobby McFerrin, Al Jarreau, Dave Liebman, Oscar Brown Jr., Gil Evans and his Orchestra and a host of others.

"They say I'm the most-sampled drummer of Hip-Hop; but my beats have become part of the rap funk genres too. My favorite CD of my own is probably “Blueprints of Jazz – Vol. 1.” Billboard named it one of the best jazz CD’s of the decade. I'm currently finishing “Indigo Blue,” featuring Randy Brecker, Christian McBride, Donald Harrison, Rob Dixon and Antonio Farao."
